Rabih Omar is a Senior Project Manager at Berghof Lebanon, where he applies his extensive expertise in peace building, conflict analysis, and community engagement to foster meaningful development. Rabih earned a master’s degree in human resources and holds a bachelor’s in history and Civilizations.
Rabih has cultivated a dynamic career spanning several sectors. Prior to joining Berghof, he worked witht UNDP, he served as a Project Analyst for the "Dealing with the Past" project, where he played a pivotal role in advancing peace-building initiatives. As a Peace and Development advisor, he conducted critical conflict analyses and developed local development plans, showcasing his ability to design interventions tailored to community needs.
His experience as a Local Peace Building Coordinator in North Lebanon added depth to his expertise in designing and implementing impactful peace-building initiatives.
Over the years, Rabih has also worked with renowned international and local organizations, including the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF), and the USAID Office of Transition Initiatives. Additionally, his tenure as Social Development Consultant and Director of the Local Development Office at the Municipality of Tripoli underscores his commitment to community development.
Rabih’s work is marked by a strong dedication to fostering resilience, social cohesion, and sustainable development, making him a key asset in advancing inclusive governance and peace-building practices in Lebanon. He has a proven track record in project management, social cohesion, and local development through innovative practices.
