Courses and trainings

The Berghof Foundation provides innovative courses and trainings, where interested practitioners can draw on our long experience and technical expertise in international conflict settings.


Our courses are suitable for participants with various levels of experience and exposure to the topics.

Here are our current course offerings:

  • National Dialogue and peacemaking
    This eight-week online course provides an in-depth understanding of National Dialogues and how to prepare, conduct and implement them. The course combines e-learning modules with live peer-exchange sessions and live online meetings with renowned experts and covers real-world case studies.

    The live sessions will take place from 19 September- 7 November 2024.

  • Transformative peace education
    This online course provides theoretical basics informed by current issues as well as insights into proven methods from the Berghof Foundation’s peace education practice in Germany and abroad.

    Timeframe: 22 October - 26 November 2024

    Registration deadline: 5 October 2024

  • Preventing and addressing violent extremism
    As part of the EU-funded PAVE project, we collaborated with 12 organisations and universities in creating a series of training modules focused on preventing and addressing violent extremism. Our experts developed a fully self-paced online course as well as course materials for an in-person training.
