Cord-Christian Drews is the Deputy Executive Director and Chief Operating Officer at the Berghof Foundation. He oversees the organisation’s internal management and operations.

Before joining Berghof, he served as Chief Operating Officer for the UK Department for Business and Trade in Europe, setting up the structures, teams and processes to enable 300 colleagues across some 30 countries to deliver for the UK and its European trading partners. Before government, Cord has worked in academia, supporting the UK’s Enterprise Research Centre and completing his PhD with a focus on the long-term impact of small business support. Earlier, he has also worked in a variety of roles at British Telecom and with some shorter stints elsewhere.

In addition to his PhD, Cord holds an Executive Master of Public Administration. He is fluent in English and German.
