Jana Sleem is Project Coordinator and Communications Liaison at the Berghof Foundation, where she supports research, rigorous impact evaluation and trust-building initiatives, while also contributing to communications and strategic partnerships.

She brings more than five years of experience in peacebuilding, including four years with the United Nations Development Programme on regional programmes focused on dialogue, insider mediation and social cohesion. She has also contributed to consultancy assignments in capacity building, programme design and advocacy, alongside applied research in peace and conflict studies.

With a multidisciplinary academic background in Law, International Affairs and Communications, and a Master’s degree in International Affairs and Diplomacy, she works at the intersection of research, policy and practice. Her work focuses on translating complex analysis and field-based evidence into compelling narratives and approaches that strengthen the impact of conflict-sensitive and peace-oriented efforts.
