Mission (excerpt from the statutes)

§2: The purpose of the association is to foster mutual understanding between people around the world, and to support education as well as science and research through the idealistic and financial support of the peace education division of the non-profit organisation Berghof Foundation Operations GmbH with its headquarters in Berlin and its office in Tübingen.

History

In 2012, the former “Institute for Peace Education Tübingen e.V.” became an operational part of the Berghof Foundation. Since then more than 100 members of the former association continue to support Berghof as the “Friends of Berghof Peace Education”.

Projects

The association has been supporting peace education projects at the Berghof Foundation for many years.

The focus was and still is the online portal www.frieden-fragen.de where our team answers children‘s question about war and peace.

The Friends of Berghof Peace Education also organise events in and around Tübingen, Germany (e.g. the “Tübingen Talks on the Future of Peace Education”) and solicit donations.
