Tom Breese joined the Berghof Foundation in July 2021 and is currently working as a Project Officer in the Ethiopia Unit. Until 2024, he worked on the topic of climate change and the environment, supporting the drafting and editing of publications “The Burning Question” and “ND x Climate Change”. More recently, he worked as a Project Officer on the nexus of peacemaking and constitution-building.

Tom completed his Bachelor’s degree in Classics at Durham University in the UK, before moving to Berlin to undertake a Master's degree in Public Policy at the Hertie School of Governance. His research focused on climate change and security, completing a thesis on the effect of natural disasters on peace processes in Sri Lanka and Indonesia.
