Katharina Jautz is a Project Manager in the Yemen Unit. Before joining Berghof, she worked with Democracy Reporting International coordinating projects in Lebanon and Libya in the field of democratisation, local governance and civil society support. As a global Gender and Diversity Focal Point, she shaped and mainstreamed DRI's gender and diversity policy across the organisation. Previously she lived in Lebanon and Syria, studying Arabic and working for the United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA) and a local NGO in Beirut called NAHNOO. Katharina holds a Master’s in Near and Middle Eastern Studies from the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS) in London and a Bachelor’s in European Studies from Maastricht University.
