Yasir is a Project Manager in the MENA team, working on the Peace and Climate Adaptation project with the Regional Peace Support MENA & Yemen Unit. Before joining Berghof, he worked with the World Bank, UNEP, and the ILO on climate resilience, public works, and infrastructure compliance projects across post-conflict Iraq. Yasir's academic background includes a Bachelor's degree in Civil and Building Engineering and a Master's in Construction Materials Engineering from Iraqi institutions, and he is currently pursuing a PhD in Civil Engineering at the Universidad de Granada. He brings fifteen years of experience in infrastructure development, climate adaptation, and institutional capacity building to his current role.
