Michaela leads monitoring, evaluation and learning (MEL) in a cross-departmental and interdisciplinary programme on infrastructures for peace across dynamic country contexts.
Before joining the Berghof Foundation, Michaela held roles in which she designed and implemented MEL systems, commissioned, conducted and quality-assured evaluations, and facilitated learning with a wide range of organisations. She has contributed to advancing MEL practice in international cooperation through specialist publications and through her membership on the World Food Programme’s Evaluation Methods Advisory Panel.
Michaela’s academic background is in international human rights law, international relations, and regional studies.

Michaela verantwortet einen adaptiven Ansatz für Monitoring, Evaluierung und Lernen (MEL) in einem abteilungsübergreifenden und interdisziplinären Programm der Berghof Foundation, das in hochdynamischen Länderkontexten tätig ist.
Sie verfügt über langjährige Erfahrung in der Entwicklung und Umsetzung von MEL‑Systemen sowie in der Konzeption und Durchführung anspruchsvoller Evaluationen. Zur Weiterentwicklung von MEL in der internationalen Zusammenarbeit trug sie durch Fachpublikationen und ihre Mitgliedschaft im Evaluation Methods Advisory Panel des Welternährungsprogramms (WFP) bei.
Michaela hat Studienabschlüsse in Völkerrecht, internationalen Beziehungen und Regionalstudien.
