Theresa Breitmaier has been a part of Berghof’s Afghanistan team since 2016.
Before starting at the Berghof Foundation, Theresa was with the Austrian Study Centre for Peace and Conflict Resolution. She has also had the opportunity to work with the European Union Delegation in Cairo and Amnesty International’s office in Brussels.
Theresa holds a B.A. in Political Science with a minor in Public Law from the University of Mannheim and an M.Sc. in Middle East Politics from the School of Oriental and African Studies at the University of London.

Theresa Breitmaier arbeitet seit 2016 im Projekt „Afghanistan: Die Förderung sinnvoller, effektiver und hinreichend inklusiver Friedensverhandlungen“.
Vor ihrer Stelle bei der Berghof Foundation war Theresa beim Österreichischen Studienzentrum für Frieden und Konfliktlösung angestellt. Sie hat außerdem unter anderem die Gelegenheit gehabt für die Delegation der Europäischen Union in Kairo und das Amnesty International-Büro in Brüssel tätig zu sein.
Theresa hat einen B.A. in Politikwissenschaft mit Nebenfach Öffentliches Recht von der Universität Mannheim und einen M.Sc. in Nahostpolitik von der School of Oriental and African Studies an der University of London.
