Nina Strumpf is a project manager/focal person in the Conflict Transformation Research department and represents the Berghof Foundation and the Plattform zivile Konfliktbearbeitung in the team of the Working Group on Peace & Development (FriEnt).
Her main areas of expertise include: Transitional Justice & Dealing with the Past, Mediation and Human Rights.
Before joining the Berghof Foundation, she worked for a start-up in the field of sustainable finance and coordinated the Initiative Mediation Support Deutschland (IMSD). She has also lived and worked in Lebanon and Nepal as part of the Civil Peace Service and helped establish a human rights organisation focusing on human rights defenders in the Philippines.
Nina is a trained mediator and holds a MA in Peace and Conflict Studies from Philipps University Marburg and a BA in Social Sciences from Humboldt University Berlin.

Zu ihren inhaltlichen Schwerpunkten gehören: Transitional Justice & Dealing with the Past, Mediation und Menschenrechte.
Bevor sie zur Berghof Foundation kam, hat sie bei einem Start-up im Bereich Sustainable Finance gearbeitet und die Initiative Mediation Support Deutschland (IMSD) koordiniert. Im Rahmen des zivilen Friedensdienstes lebte und arbeite sie zudem im Libanon und in Nepal und hat eine Menschenrechtsorganisation mit dem Fokus auf MenschenrechtsverteidigerInnen in den Philippinen mit aufgebaut.
Nina ist ausgebildete Mediatorin und erwarb einen Master in der Friedens- und Konfliktforschung von der Philipps-Universität Marburg und einen BA in Sozialwissenschaften von der Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin.
